Saturday Morning Waffle Adventure Ride
October 24 @ 8:00 am - 11:00 am CDT
An event every week that begins at 8:00 am on Saturday, repeating until December 27, 2020
Ottawa Bike and Trail is the place to be for your Saturday morning ride! We start at 8:00 am for waffles and coffee and a little pre-ride social time. At 9:00 we saddle up and hit the trail.
The route varies each week, but we usually have a short route of 17-20 miles and a longer route of 25-30 miles. Of course, our rides feature the Flint Hills Trail and/or the Prairie Spirit Trail State Parks. We also explore the incredible gravel roads and hills that surround Ottawa. We post our routes on Friday on our Facebook Page.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Will I be dropped? No. We try to keep the group together and will stop at turns to re-group. We try to tailor each ride depending on the skill levels for the group.
What's the pace? The pace varies each week and depends on the makeup of the group. We may split up the group into a fast and slow group.
What type of bike do I need? Most of our rides will include some rail-trail, gravel, and road. On occasion, we will include a road-only route.
Do you cancel the ride for bad weather? If the roads are safe to ride; we ride! If it's not safe to ride we will cancel. Check our Facebook page for the latest updates.
What other equipment do I need? We require every rider to have a helmet. Lights are required on night rides and recommended on daytime rides.
