Prairie Spirit Trail State Park Show-and-Go
Two years ago, we hosted a July show-and-go ride on the Flint Hills Trail. At the time, we were in the process of opening a bike shop in Ottawa. We attracted riders from all over the state of Kansas as well as Missouri, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. This ride confirmed that we were doing the right thing. Many of the people that participated in this first Ottawa Bike and Trail event are still riding with us today. We thought it would be a good idea to host a similar ride to celebrate two years of Ottawa Bike and Trail.
This ride is a show-and-go format. That means that this is a self-supported ride. It also means that it’s completely FREE. You’ll need to have everything you need for the ride as well as transportation back to Ottawa. We will provide limited support at some points along the trail, but we won’t be providing any formal support. Of course if you get stuck on the trail or need mechanical help we’ll always be there to help you out.
The ride will start at Ottawa Bike and Trial in Ottawa. We’ll ride the entire Prairie Spirit Trail to Iola, Kansas and the South Wind Trail to Humbolt, Kansas. The entire route is 60.3 miles. We’ll be meeting for lunch in Humbolt (details pending).
