Kin's Nobilette Custom Bicycle Build Project

Kin lives nearly 14 hours away in Columbus Georgia. He learned about our bicycle shop via social media and contacted us to build a Tanglefoot Moonshiner for him. A few weeks after this bike was done a new frameset arrived at our door. Kin purchased a frame from renowed custom framebuilder Mark Nobilette and wanted us to source the parts and build the bike for him.  Kin wanted to incorporate his Shimano Nexave rapid-rise derailleur and a dynamo-hub to drive a Son Edelux light. But, beyond that he trusted us to source and assemble the appropriate parts to make this frame intoo the best bike possible. So, we put on our dream build hats and set to work.

Mark wanted to feature his Shimano Nexave Rapid Rise Derailleur on this build. We found that the derailleur paired perfectly with these Rivendell Silver shifter pods running in Friction mode.

Mark Nobilette built the fork using a SON SL contact kit that provides a direct connection to SON SL hubs.  This eliminates the plug in connectors found on most hubs which provides a cleaner look and makes it easier to remove the front wheel.

Kin selected the color which is a beautiful teal.  Mark uses Dark Matter Finishing for the paint.
